I n furtherance of the fight against violent crimes and criminality through the use of technology and ensure a full safety and secure state, Enugu State Governor Dr Peter Mbah has unveiled two high tech impact Drones procured by the state Security Trust Fund, which have the capacity to identify, track and capture criminals. Performing the function at the command and control centre, government house Enugu on Monday, Mbah also unveiled 10 Security Hilux Vans, 40 Security Motorbikes, 400 Billet proof Helmets and Jackets. The governor who commended the State Security Trust Fund for the feat, frowned at the number of the security drones and vehicles procured, and charged them to go for more.
Mbah while noting that security is the topmost priority to his administration, said violent crimes have been reduced to over 80 percent in Enugu state, saying his administration has invested hugely in safe-city-security system which would be complemented by the newly procured long range security Drones. Also, the Secretary, Enugu Security Trust Fund, Mr Chinedu Anih noted that the Drones have both day and night vision cameras.
