Gov. Mbah gifts PLWDs bags of rice, meat for Xmas

n the spirit of the Christmas season, the Enugu State governor, Dr Peter Mbah has put smiles on the faces of the people living with disabilities, PLWDs, by gifting them bags of rice, meat and other food items.

The event which took place at the Cheshire Home, Uwani evidenced the governor's commitment to inclusive governance and ensuring that no group is left behind.

Speaking, the Chairman, Enugu State Disability Commission, Mr Jude Eze who thanked the governor for the gesture, described it as unprecedented.

Eze further called on other well meaning individuals in the state to assist the governor in his avowed determination to annihilate the plights of the less privileged people in society.

A humanitarian service provider, Chinelo Odim used the opportunity to gift someone living with disability a wheelchair, acknowledged that there is ability in disability.

She further expressed her profound appreciation to the governor for remembering the people with disabilities in this festive period.

Some of the beneficiaries who could not hide their joy, prayed God to continue protecting the governor in order to finish up the good work he has started in the state.
