A public affairs analyst emmanuel chime is optimistic of peace prospect as putin and zelensky plans to meet face to face on thursday.

Analyzing ‘prospects of peace from putin-zelensky face to face meeting , ’during etv "spotlight", chime expressed hope that the meeting will broker peace between the two brothers without any underlying factor.

Recall that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has agreed to attend a meeting proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in Istanbul on Thursday, as long as Putin is there in person.

His plan is also supported by US President Donald Trump, who says the meeting will help Ukraine’s allies, the US and European powers, decide whether a ceasefire is possible – and also the future of the war effort against Russia’s invasion.

If Zelenskyy and Putin were to meet on Thursday, it would be their first face-to-face meeting since December 2019.
