Dr. August Okolie, a public affairs analyst, says the recent endorsement of Tinubu by Patience Jonathan is driven by personal reasons rather than political motivations.

He equally said many individuals from various parties endorsing Tinubu was due to self-preservation, considering the country's economic situation.

He stated this while speaking on sunrise FM live programme on patience Jonathan's endorsement of Tinuubu for 2027- setback for PDP and coalition's Goodluck candidacy.

He noted that Nigerians are not fully comprehending the implications of these endorsements.

Regarding the coalition, Okolie said it is a welcome development but emphasized that the motivations behind it are crucial, even as many people are criticizing the move. He acknowledged that Nigeria's political landscape is driven by personal interests and self-preservation, rather than a genuine desire for progress and development.
